CSK are still champions!!!

IPL5 has come to an end. My congratulations to the Champions - The Knights from the City of Joy..

It was a riveting final. I had a huge sigh of relief when CSK crossed 190.. But my relief was short-lived as the eventual champions truly played like champions and chased down the target in style.. That said, CSK still remains the Super Kings of IPL.

CSK has done every one of its zillion fans, proud. No other team in the history of IPL has been this consistent. 4 finals in 5 IPLs.. Regardless of the final's result, CSK are eternal champions. Most of my office colleagues have started blabbering about CSK losing the match, 'luck ultimately giving way', 'Dhoni's luck has run out' kind of bullshits. Fact remains that most of them are plain jealous of CSK and myself (CSK Supporter) :) I can understand.. It was a huge relief for them when CSK lost the match.. They were like, FINALLY, some team that does not wear yellow jersey, some team that has nothing to do with whistles, some team that Arvind does not cheer for, is the winner. It was basically a case of sympathy for the underdogs… J

Yes. I agree. CSK has been very dominant in the past and will be dominant forever.. So I thought, let the ordinary people (read as non CSK fans :P) cherish such rare moments as and when it comes, which, no doubt, will be rare!!

IPL5: I will cherish the fact that I was there in Chinnaswamy stadium when CSK routed MI.. I was there when MSD hit the longest six of the tournament out of the Chinnaswamy stadium...

I now know how Man U supporters would have felt on losing the EPL.. You get so much used to winning, that losing once in a while almost kills you. For all the other teams, it’s just a repeat of previous year. Infact, ordinary teams like RCB, did worse than last year!!! :)

Thank you CSK, for the super ride in IPL5. Let’s go all the way and win it next year!!

CSK ku whistle podu!! Chennai : IPL is what Manchester : EPL

I have always been a die hard fan of CSK. You can probably say that now I have become a CSK fanatic. The fact that most of my office colleagues hate CSK (The silly ppl support RCB!!!) has only infused more passion in me for CSK. Every time CSK wins a match or RCB loses a match, I take their case. On retrospection, the reason for many of them to hate CSK might be me being so noisy about the great team that is CSK: P :P.

For the last 2 years, we have all been planning to go to a CSK vs RCB match but for some reason or the other, it never materialized :( This year (IPL 5), surprisingly, some of us agreed and decided to go to the match. We were so much looking forward to the high voltage encounter; we had all the charts, posters and slogans prepared. But the rain gods had other ideas :( Of all the 7 days in the match week, it rained only on the match day!!! I couldn’t believe RCB's luck in stealing 1 point!! Had the match been played, CSK would have simply run over RCB :P

Time flew and the last stage of the league phase was already here. Both RCB and CSK were very precariously placed!! CSK had the final laugh though. At this point, I want to address all the cricketing illiterates who are talking about Lady Luck favouring CSK. Ever since their last league match against Punjab, they have never moved from their 4th position in the points table. Other team's (Rajasthan, Punjab and Bangalore) losing their games did not give CSK any points!!! At the end of the league phase, we were the 4th best team and that’s the bottom line! Where does luck come in??? Silly ppl!

The 6 of us are again going to a match in Bangalore on 23rd featuring CSK vs MI. Cant wait to see MI getting thrashed :) Go CSK Go!

Jobless in a job!!!

First blog so please pardon if I have got the blog syntaxes wrong! Been four long years in bangalore and suddenly a sense of insecurity regarding my professional career is boomeranging my way. Three months back,I  would leave to office at about 8 in the morning and god knows when i would come back! Now,I leave at 8 and wait for the clock to tick past 7 in the evening. Its astonishing how quickly things can change @ work. Just when I thought I dont have to worry about my future atleast for some more years,'BANG!'  Projects dont seem to come through, management seems to come up with policies such as 'project value will have an impact on your appraisal' (Thats totally unfair, atleast from the employees perspective .I can understand from the employers perspective but i would rather not accept my understanding!!),and all of a sudden people from your team quit at an alarming rate poking questions on your hope for things to turn around in the team. But I guess everybody will go through this phase at one point of time or another :) I have started lamenting a lot about this, especially to my roomates and close friends and everybody seem so cool about the situation. They are like "Machi, why are you cribbing like this? Just change company na?". I am amazed at how easily they say that. Am I the only one with very little confidence of getting a job in another company or would I also have said the same thing if someone lamented to me??!! God help me!! For the moment,I am going to stick on to the company for some more time and hope things will take a turn for the better :)
