IPL5 has come to an end. My congratulations to the Champions - The Knights from the City of Joy ..
It was a riveting final. I had a huge sigh of relief when CSK crossed 190.. But my relief was short-lived as the eventual champions truly played like champions and chased down the target in style.. That said, CSK still remains the Super Kings of IPL.
CSK has done every one of its zillion fans, proud. No other team in the history of IPL has been this consistent. 4 finals in 5 IPLs.. Regardless of the final's result, CSK are eternal champions. Most of my office colleagues have started blabbering about CSK losing the match, 'luck ultimately giving way', 'Dhoni's luck has run out' kind of bullshits. Fact remains that most of them are plain jealous of CSK and myself (CSK Supporter) :) I can understand.. It was a huge relief for them when CSK lost the match.. They were like, FINALLY, some team that does not wear yellow jersey, some team that has nothing to do with whistles, some team that Arvind does not cheer for, is the winner. It was basically a case of sympathy for the underdogs… J
Yes. I agree. CSK has been very dominant in the past and will be dominant forever.. So I thought, let the ordinary people (read as non CSK fans :P) cherish such rare moments as and when it comes, which, no doubt, will be rare!!
IPL5: I will cherish the fact that I was there in Chinnaswamy stadium when CSK routed MI.. I was there when MSD hit the longest six of the tournament out of the Chinnaswamy stadium...
I now know how Man U supporters would have felt on losing the EPL.. You get so much used to winning, that losing once in a while almost kills you. For all the other teams, it’s just a repeat of previous year. Infact, ordinary teams like RCB, did worse than last year!!! :)
Thank you CSK, for the super ride in IPL5. Let’s go all the way and win it next year!!
